Privacy policy

What trimotech.ca collects when you visit, email or call us, or book a call, what we do with it, and how to have it corrected or deleted.

The short version: this site has no forms, no accounts and no advertising. It uses Google Analytics to count visits. If you email, call or book a call with us, we use what you give us to answer you and to do the work you asked about. We don't sell personal information.

Who we are

Trimotech, 20 Cachet Woods Ct, Suite 2, Office 12, Markham, ON L6C 3G1. We're responsible for the personal information described here, and you can reach us about it at [email protected].

This policy covers trimotech.ca. Work we do for clients, and any data we handle on their behalf, is covered by our agreement with each client.

What we collect

When you visit. We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit, which pages they read and how they found the site. It sets cookies in your browser and records the pages you view, your browser and device type, your approximate location (to the city) and the site that sent you here. Google Analytics doesn't log or store IP addresses. We look at this as totals and trends, and we don't use it to identify anyone.

Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic details of each request to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

When you email or call us. Your name, your email address or phone number, and whatever you tell us. We use it to reply and, if we end up working together, to do that work.

When you book a call. Bookings go through Google Calendar's appointment scheduling. You give Google your name, your email address and anything you add to the booking, and Google passes that to us so we can hold the call. Google handles the booking under its own privacy policy.

The blog's RSS feeds collect nothing. The Instagram link takes you to Instagram, and Instagram's policy applies there.

Who else sees it

Only the companies that run these services for us: Google (Analytics and Calendar), Cloudflare (hosting), and our email and phone providers. They may store and process data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to that country's laws.

We don't sell, rent or trade personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Google Analytics keeps visit data for no more than 14 months. We keep emails, call details and booking details for as long as we need them to deal with your request or our work together, and for any longer period the law requires us to keep business records.
